info requested on SDA series. What are the better SDA models?
I love Polks and have a few of the Monitor series (Monitor 5, 7, 10) but have alwys been intrigued by the Polk SDA series. I have never heard any of the SDA series and, when researching them, it is confusing because there are so many different SDA models. Can someone explain which SDA models are considered the best? I have seen the SDA SRS 1.2 listed for big bucks. Is that the top of the line model? What other SDAs would be among the better ones? Thanks.

Search the Vintage forum. TONS of threads on SDA's and their respective ranks.
In general, the newer SDA's without the dimensional tweeter are more desirable than the older ones with the dimensional tweeter. After that, finding the correctly-sized SDA for your room is important, and the later model SDA's with the TL tweeters are generally more desirable than their non-TL counterparts.
Dimensional tweeter from smallest to biggest:
- SDA-CRS
- SDA-2
- SDA-1; SDA-1A
No Dimensional Tweeter smallest to biggest:
- SDA-CRS+
- SDA-2A, SDA-2B
- SDA-1B, SDA-1C
- SDA SRS-3.1TL
- SDA SRS-2
- SDA SRS-2.3, SDA SRS-2.3TL

Thank you. I appreciate it. Which are the models with the more desirable TL tweeter you mentioned?

The ones with letters "TL" after their name.
But again, room size is a big consideration, and a very "desirable" and more expensive big TL model may not sound as good in some rooms as a smaller, less expensive, less "desirable" model.2-Channel: PC > Schiit Eitr > Audio Research DAC-8 > Audio Research LS-26 > Pass Labs X-250.5 > Magnepan 3.7's

Thank you. That makes perfect sense - sorry I did not notice the TL at the end of the model name.
Thanks again. Great info on this site. I love Polk speakers and it's great to have found a site full of similar Polkies.
