Polk Surround Bar 3000 IHT

So I was looking for something simple to setup as a bedroom rig. I honestly wanted a nice small 2 channel speaker setup with a low end receiver. In fact I had the setup ready to go but my wife was just not into it. She kept on steering herself towards the surround bar. I had actually scored a pair of TSi100's NiB on craigslist for 60 dollars, and a gently used harmon kardon receiver 7.1. So I end up giving that setup to my parents (which sounds fantastic) and scored a barely used 3000 IHT for 165.
I was initially having troubles setting it up, but figured out my TV does not deliver the correct format of sound processing through its optical port. Which after some googling seems to be a common theme among all TV manufacturers.
Any ways after figuring it all out, setting up my remote, and hanging it on the wall, I was pleasantly surprised. It actually sounds much better than I expected for an entry level bar. I mean I obviously wanted something better than the TV speakers, but this is way better than expected. So for 165, and basically a brand new surround bar, it was a no brainer.
Well done Polk.
