I have mine torn apart . Dynamat,JB Weld,RDO 194's,Larry's Rings. I just purchased a Adcom GFA 555 to try something different w my speakers . I have not listened to this amp yet until the mods are done. If I really like the sound would it be worth the trouble and effort to get a matching GFA 555 and run the two as monos? I understand that I would have to purchase or build a dreadnought transformer to make it work? Also if the bare drivers and tweeters are stamped 1988 does that give me a good idea of year they were made? As always thanks for all the help. My ears and pocketbook thank you! Darryl

1) I don't know anything about the GFA 555 amp, but when I went from one 2-channel amp to monoblocks, the sound of my SDA SRSs made a major improvement in performance. I'm no expert, but I think added power is good for these speakers.
2) Build a Dreadnought whether or not you decide to buy a second GFA 555. I put a Dreadnought in my system in my exercise room with a common ground 2-channel amp and SDA 1Cs, and the improvement was dramatic. And I only had a Toroid of Maryland 600VA transformer in the Dreadnought. I am sure either of the A-L isolation transformers discussed on this Forum (800VA or 1000VA) would make an even bigger difference. I'll be posting my own experience with the difference when I get my A-L 1000VA isolation transformer installed in a second Dreadnought.Family Room, Innuos Statement streamer (Roon Core) with Morrow Audio USB cable to McIntosh MC 2700 pre with DC2 Digital Audio Module; AQ Sky XLRs to CAT 600.2 dualmono amp, Morrow Elite Speaker Cables to NOLA Baby Grand Reference Gold 3 speakers. Power source for all components: Silver Circle Audio Pure Power One with dedicated 20 amp circuit to main panel.
Exercise Room, Innuos Streamer via Cat 6 cable connection to PS Audio PerfectWave MkII DAC w/Bridge II, AQ King Cobra RCAs to Perreaux PMF3150 amp (fully restored and upgraded by Jeffrey Jackson, Precision Audio Labs), Supra Rondo 4x2.5 Speaker Cables to SDA 1Cs (Vr3 Mods Xovers and other mods.), Dreadnaught with Supra Rondo 4x2.5 interconnect cables by Vr3 Mods. Power for each component from dedicated 20 amp circuit to main panel, except Innuos Statement powered from Silver Circle Audio Pure Power One.
