Un-secured websites?

As long as I can remember, whenever I've been at the credit card section of a website, I usually get some indication of the site being secure. I just tried ordering a GC from Bertucci's, and there was NO indication?
I'm running win7, w/ security essentials, and there was no 'Lock' symbol at the top of the page?
I called the CS line, and they assured me the site was safe, but if my pc don't see it, I'm not real comfy going forward.:confused:
I refuse to argue with idiots, because people can't tell the DIFFERENCE!

    Yep, some websites won't tell you they are secure until you hit that final payment page.
