Rear Speaker Response
Thanks Chris,
I had initially decided upon the RT6's after you had or someone had suggested. I even went up to Circuit City and they had the black's for $229. But my wife wanted them in white or she would accept Cherry. The saga continues:
I called POLK and talked to a tech. He told me if they were sitting on a shelf 4.5' above your heard I wouldn't be able to tell the difference. These Mirages are indoor/outdoor. I didn't know that until I went to the site. He suggested putting them the RT6's on stands or hang them on the wall. These options are out for this is our living room. If I had an enterainment room or a den then I would did it.
I don't know what to think. I called two other techs here in town and they disagreed with him. But I called a sales person and discussed it with her and she agreed with the tech from POLK. She said unless you can tilt them downward your just pushing sound out above your head. I think she is correct. Right now I have these tilted downward, but number 1. they are not POLK and I wanted my system to be all POLK. 2. The woofer is only a 4".
I was afraid this might not work out. I do thank you for your imput. And I do like the Speakers you mentioned. They also have the RT38's and there are a few of them still out there in Cherry. Crutchfield has them. There RT6's are much more expensive than Circuit City. Thanks again and if you come up with a solution please let me know. - greg
