Polk RTi12's in Frys ad.
Frys is selling a pair of Polk RTi12's with a 8" 300watt sub for $750. Sounds like a pretty good deal but I have no idea how the RTi's are. I have the RTi10's so I figure they are a step up above them. So any opinions on these speakers, are comparable to my RTi10's. I've been over on "Electronis" pages and with some help decided I need to upgrade my sub before anything else but this has got my attention.

I currently have Polk RTi10's as my towers.....I was wondering if these a much better speaker than mine. I'm sure they're betterbut not sure if they're that much better. I thought it looked like a pretty good deal also.Panasonic 50"

From hearing the RTi A9s and A7s (successors to the RTi12 and 10) side by side, it sounded to me as if the A9s had a fuller and cleaner sounding mid range when compared to the A7s. Take it for what it's worth since they were both powered by an AVR that probably wasn't driving them to their full potential.
Is it possible for you to listen to them yourself? What are you powering your 10s with? -
Marantz 6007. I think I am going wait for awhile before buying new towers, right now my needs are a sub and amp.Panasonic 50"

IMO, that's a pretty killer deal. And yes, also IMO the 12's are worth the upgrade over the 10's. You could consider; purchasing the deal, sell your 10's and new sub and get a better sub or an amp to drive your new 12's. With the right amount of power, you can bring some pretty good floor thumping bass from the 12's.
Of course it's no match for a monster sub, but it could get you by for now??????????????????Source: BRP Panasonic UB9000, CDP Emotiva ERC3 - Display: LG OLED EVO 83 C3 - Pre/Pro: Marantz 8802A - Amplification: Emotiva XPA-DR3, XPA-2 x 2, XPA-6, Speakers, Mains/2ch-Focal Kanta No2's, C-LSiM706, S-702F/X, RS-RTiA9's, WS-RTiA9's, FH-RTiA3's, Subs - Epik Empire x 2

If it were me, I'd think about upgrading to the 12s and using my 10s to power the surround channels (since you have them). The setup would require a good size space and also some amplification for them but I think it'd be stellar.AVR - Onkyo NR809

No stock at the Fry's in my area. Every time they have a killer deal like that they have no stock.
Doubt they send more than a few to the store. At least the one in my area. -
