After two months my right channel amp is back from repair, installed, and is working fine. It is a Cambridge-Audio 840W in bridged mono mode. To my ears, these amps excel in bridged mono mode. While they certainly are fine in stereo, they open up with a more detailed and solid sound in mono mode. If anybody knows of any of these amps for sale let me know. I want a spare in case this ever happens again.

Good point. I will postpone getting a spare until 2013. Assuming there is a 2013.

Well, the world didn't end, and the amp still works! Gadzooks, I can't get over how good this stuff sounds. For not making a difference all my cable and power upgrades are really working well.

I might be getting a separate 20 amp line installed next Thursday for the two-channel gear in the living room. At least I hope so. I will not be surprised if the electrician looks in the attic and says never mind, or it will cost a $1000 to do it.

I hope I do get it so I can A/B the system between being on the shared line, and the dedicated line. One of the reasons why I bought the Shunyata Triton power conditioner was to deal with the shared line. If the new line does not give an obvious improvement I will be even more impressed with Shunyata. The real benefit from this line will be to remove the two channel gear from the same line as my HT gear. In fact, once the electrician is in the attic I am going to ask him that as long as you are doing this can you put in another for the HT.
