SOTA turntables

I am looking at a couple of possibilities with SOTA turntables. One is a Comet and one is a Sapphire? Google search on both reveal mixed reviews. I think they are both at the low end of the SOTA line and so reviewers are either the mass market guys for whom the SOTA is a big step up or up-market guys for whom the SOTA is a big step down.

Any thoughts on either of the turntables?

The Comet and Satellite are near the bottom of the line with the Sapphire in the middle. SOTA is an excellent company that supports its products past and present. The Comet would not be my choice since it is not upgradable, while starting with the Satellite you have a platform that can be upgraded with factory support all the way to the level of their Nova table that is the top of their line without the vacuum hold down. Very flexible in arm board choices so easy to use upgraded or different arms.

I see that there are several versions of the Saphhire (up to version V). Are the earlier versions any good?

    SOTA Sapphire is outstanding.
