Dual dsw660 or single svs PB12, hsu vtf-3 mk4
Hello,
Im new this forum and just started getting into learning a litlle about audio and Need help figuring out this whole bass thing. I just got the lsim705's amd the 704c and im using the fxiA4s for surrounds... Trying to pick out the subwoofer and here is where im stuck...
I can get the dsw660 for $400 or the Svs and the Hsu are both around the $800 mark.
Would i be better off getting dual dsw660 or are the Svs or Hsu that great of Subs for the same cost???
Thanks for your help.

Welcome to CP. Polk subs have come along way but personally I think ID is a better bang for the buck...

SVS has a couple of new subs at $499. The sealed SB1000 and the ported PB1000.
They claim the ported (PB1000) has usable output down to 19hz.
Just a thought. -
The Dsw660 isn't a bad sub and having two will even out bass response. However the SVS/HSU will dig lower and sound better. I'd personally go with SVS or HSU.

I have an HSU VTK3-Mk3 and and say it's a wonderful sub. No problems whatsoever and has deep, powerful bass. Plus HSU customer service is excellent!
I haven't heard the other subs.Fronts:B&W 804 Diamonds, Center: B&W HTM2 Diamond, Surrounds: PolkAudio LSi F/X (4)
Subwoofer: HSU VTK3-MK3

with the new Lsim's you have you better off going with either HSU or SvS....

I have the vtf3 mk4 and love it. I, like you, researched all of these subs and went with HSU. Could not be happier. It hits soo low and if you set it up right....OMG a HT does it make!Sharp LC-80uq17u
