Lately on both on E-bay and C/L I have noticed a brand of speaker that I was not familiar with.DCM Time Frame
250s,350s,400s that have a very slim line design and have a loyal following. The other speakers are the TF 700 which are round cylindrical in design and seem to be very sought after and very few come up.Any of you guys come across these and if there are any comparisons could any be made. The ones I saw the socks were all faded and was not that all appealing.

They were quite good - the flagship DCM product of their era, the timewindows, were even better, though.
If you like the 1970s Polk Audio "Monitor Series" sound, you'll likely love the classic DCMs. I certainly do (and I do now own a pair of timewindow 1s, which I couldn't even come close to affording ca. 1977). -
PM Scottboy, he has had a couple pair and really liked em. Couple threads about em I believe."....not everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted." William Bruce Cameron, Informal Sociology: A Casual Introduction to Sociological Thinking (1963)

I've had several pairs of the Timeframes (250s, 375s, 400s) and they are excelllent speakers! They image extremely well and produce one of the best non-SDA soundstages I have heard. For the amount of cash you can typically get these for, they are a steal. They do lack a little in the bass side of things (except for the large TF-1000s and uber rare TF-2000s) and they are not the last word in detail retrieval. They are however extremely musical sounding speakers that lean towards the warm side of the spectrum and are extremely easy to listen to for long periods of time without listener fatigue. I find you tend to listen to and get caught up with the music on these as opposed to listen to the audio components if that makes any sence. Add a good sub to these, and enjoy the tunes!
The Timewindows are a sizable step up over the Timeframes but you are going to pay for them usually. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend either one. -
I just picked up a set of TW1 and a Carver Receiver 900 from a yard sale (20$) and was blown away at the amount of sound from them. As stated, with a sub they are spectacular. Mine run back surround duty and do a magnificent job. I wouldn't hesitate to pick up another pair in the 100 to 125 range.Too much **** to list....
