Lsim mounting
In our new house I'm going to be using my lsim 703's as surround speakers for the theater room. My question is how are others mounting them on the wall. I can't put them to low or someone will smash there heads on them when they walk by the center seating to get to the back of the room.

I decided to mount them on custom speaker shelves on the back wall.
The shelf will be about 20" out. It's def going to be annoying walking near them but stands were not the answer either.
I will post picks as soon as we complete it. In the process of making the shelves now. Once I mount them I will send pics.HOME THEATER 5.1

Based on my theater room setup I don't think the 703's will work for surrounds. I'm thinking I may try running duel 703's as my center
channel. Not sure how this will blend but I guess I'll try and find out.
Only problem is I have everything packed up for our move so will have to wait for now. -
I thought you wasn't satisfied with the lsim's? Did something change? I see you got the towers in your signature now. If ceiling clearance is a problem have you thought about some inceiling speakers?

Have tried both setups with Polk and Klipsch. For home theater the LsiM's are hard to beat. Much more clear. And the price I got them for was worth it. For a party speaker I like the Rf7's better so decided to get both and two separate systems.
As for in ceiling speakers, that would be great but if I buy anymore stereo stuff right now, my wife is going to choke me. Have had my eye on a Parasound amp, but have to wait.
Guess if I have to I'll just use my Fx4's for now, and try the 703's as center channels or use for front wide/highs.
I cannot think of anyway of mounting the 703's so they are out of the way.
My theater room will be 13'2'' wide x 25' long. Add two rows of theater seating and that only leaves approx 20'' on each side to walk by. -
Stilly,
Do you have a local dealer or where did you buy your LSiM's from? Other than Visions up north here, which wont sell them for under MSRP, I'd love to hear about your Canadian contact if you have one. -

I'm a member at Direct Buy. They carry the entire Polk line. -
