Why does Polk remove threads from "Todays Post" so quickly?

I'm not sure if there is something I'm not understanding here, but why do the Polk threads disappear so early during the day? I was just looking at about 4 pages of threads when I took a break to get something to eat. When I came back there was half of one page showing. There were some threads that I wanted to come back to and explore, but now they are gone, and I have no idea what all they were? You would think with folks just getting home from work and ready to get online that this wouldn't be. I'm on some other forums but not experienced this on those sites to this degree. Is Polk running out of ram or what? lol

I believe when you click the new post, it shows you the new post - when you leave that page the list is considered read and will show you new post since your last click
If I am understanding- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit. -
I don't think so, the New Posts list seems to be server side and has nothing to do with who is logged in. I'm sure there's some logic behind it, but I've yet to figure it out, but I've also noticed quite a bit of randomness as to what's listed.
Personally I think it's magic -
I've experienced exactly what VR3 has said! Spot on! Be sure to look through all the new post before hitting the new post button,or leaving the page, and then coming back to the site!"Everything I ever did in my life worthwhile I caught hell for"

Weird, it doesn't work that way for me at all. I get the same list of posts every time I refresh...

Same list of posts if I refresh, new list if I click on the button "new posts". Then it seems to consider whatever was in the page before as read...Living Room 2.2: Usher BE-718 "tiny dancers"; Dual DIY Dayton audio RSS210HF-4 Subs with Dayton SPA-250 amps; Arcam SA30; Musical Fidelity A308; Sony UBP-x1000es
Game Room 5.1.4: Denon AVR-X4200w; Sony UBP-x700; Definitive Technology Power Monitor 900 mains, CLR-3000 center, StudioMonitor 350 surrounds, ProMonitor 800 atmos x4; Sub - Monoprice Monolith 15in THX Ultra
Bedroom 2.1 Harmon Kardon HK3490; Bluesounds Node N130; Polk RT25i; ACI Titan Subwoofer -

Tom~ In search of accurate reproduction of music. Real sound is my reference and while perfection may not be attainable? If I chase it, I might just catch excellence. ~ -
It must be an account setting, because it does the same thing for me on 3 different computers in different locations.
I click New Posts and I get a list of posts, I go into a few of those posts. I then click New Posts or What's New again and get the same list of posts. I always stay logged in. -
He's talking about Today's Posts, not New Posts. I also use Today's Posts because if you do other things while browsing the forums, some threads that were new when you started browsing won't be new when you continue browsing, and the search will expire.
Today's Posts shows all posts from the last 24 hours. So I suspect what's happening is that posts greater than 24 hours old are dropping from his list of Today's Posts as the clock ticks on.

We have been getting a lot of spammers posting movies lately. Usually they will post 20 to 40 threads. I remove their postings so there are not 30 or so deleted threads cluttering up the board. Cheers.
