Mini-system advice

I'm looking to get a new mini-system for a small 10'x11' room. My wife and I are having our first baby and I want to put something in there to play some baby CD's. The CD's are primarily Classical based. No deep bass needed.
Any suggestions? Bose Wave Radio is not being considered.
I don't have much room to work with as far as shelf space. I can't do any remodeling (i.e. in wall speakers) and my wife doesn't want wires all over the place.
Thanks for the help.
