That sucks, rock stars and old men are easily the most boring talk show interviews period, and old rock legends?, gotta be the worst, just a press junket for celebration day.

Well that sucks. The promo I saw during the SEC Championship game sort of implied they would be performing.

Supposedly not performing though, just an interview...

Dave got Sonny and Cher to sing "I Got You Babe" when it was just an interview, too. Who knows.

You know, you are right, maybe just an acoustic page and plant.

But i gotta tell ya, as far as public appearances and such, they seem to be among the snobbier of the dinosaur era.

Understandable in a way if considered from their point of view, the madness of press and public adoration for a lifetime, but maybe.

Just a reminder, in case you did not know, reportedly not performing, but maybe a surprise tune.

I wouldn't watch Letterman if JC was on.

Or the Beatles, complete with a resurrected John and George.

Top Ten reasons why Led Zeppelin didn't play on the Late Show.

    10. Stupid pet tricks ran longer than usual.

    9. Had to add another commercial to help pay the bills.

    8. Page and Plant were trashed.

    7. Paul refused to play with geriatric patients.

    6. Robert's hair was a mess.

    5. Jimmy forgot where he was.

    4. Bonzo called, "give it up mates".

    3. Robert had the "walking farts".

    2. See #5.

And the number one reason Led Zeppelin didn't play on the Late Show.......

    1. Dave doesn't allow lip-syncing on his show.

I just thought it was a bit boring, overall. And Dave seemed ill-prepared and asked idiotic questions. And that "in 1980 the drummer dies" crap. Seriously, Dave? And the fact they didn't perform.

    YMMV.

Yeah ok, I agree that Letterman is a horrible host and I would never watch his show otherwise, but I thought it was a treat to see/hear the lads.

Oh don't get me wrong, it's always a treat to see the Zep boys interviewed, especially since they come around about as often as Halley's Comet. Just could have been better IMHO.

I thought John Paul Jones had a couple of witty remarks/comments. I wasn't "bored", but thought it could have been better had Letterman asked better questions. Letterman, unfortuanately isn't fun to watch and doesn't really care about the quality of the show anymore (IMO).

"I'm yet to hear a Polk speaker that merits more than a sentence and 60 seconds discussion." :\
My response is: If you need 60 seconds to respond in one sentence, you probably should't be evaluating Polk speakers.....
