Since this has been posted here. Links to Music Direct's webpage for each of the indicated title. Music Direct is the parent company to Mobile Fidelity.

Hall & Oates - Voices, H2O, Private Eyes

Billy Joel - Greatest Hits Vol. 1 & 2

Barry Manilow - Greatest Hits

Bob Dylan - Bob Dylan (self-titled debut)

Doobie Brothers - Stampede

Patricia Barber - A Distortion of Love

Of course, there were the previously-announced SACD titles such as Miles Davis' "Kind of Blue", Foreigner's "4" (although this title is available in Japan as a SACD already), other Billy Joel titles, etc. At least 2 Sinatra SACDs are coming next month.

Not too thrilled with that list. I may pick up Hall & Oats - Private Eyes however. Thanks for posting it Danny.

Taken from a recent Audioholics reply regarding "Club Polk" and Polk speakers:
"I'm yet to hear a Polk speaker that merits more than a sentence and 60 seconds discussion." :\
My response is: If you need 60 seconds to respond in one sentence, you probably should't be evaluating Polk speakers.....

+1 on that entire statement. Billie, maybe if it was a single disc. I can't see spending that much on something that I would only be interested in listening to about half of. Yeah, the others may grow on me, but I'd have to switch discs just to hear what I wanted to.

Doobie Brothers Stampede for me. That will complete the Doobie's classic years albums on SACD.

    Danny.
Thanks for the update. Haven't seen any Japanese SHM-SACD announcements in awhile - do you know of any upcoming rock titles? Thanks

I was going to mention the upcoming release of Queen's "Greatest Hits" and "Greatest Hits, Vol. II" on SHM-SACD, but according to cdjapan.co.jp, those titles have been cancelled. I think the SHM-SACD series has ran out of steam....priced themselves out of the market, IMHO. If that's the case, the SHM-SACD titles released with become collector items since I seriously doubt there will be reissues.

So it looks like the SACD pendulum is swinging back to the US for pop/rock titles on SACD, with releases from Audio Fidelity, Analogue Productions and Mobile Fidelity. Looks like MoFi has announced more Bob Dylan titles to be released on SACD, including some that were previously released by Sony:

    Bob Dylan's Greatest Hits
    Before The Flood
The Times They Are A Changin'
    Nashville Skyline
    John Wesley Harding
    Highway 61 Revisted

Why do I think we will eventually get Hall & Oates' "Rock and Soul, Part 1" on SACD from MoFi?

We still have some good pop/rock titles coming up, from Elvis to the Doors, and from the Counting Crows to Steppenwolf.

Yes, it does appear that SHM-SACD's are drying up - too bad. I too am looking forward to the Doors releases. The release date keeps getting pushed back though, hopefully the latest estimate of January comes through.

    Thanks for the info Danny.

If they priced the SHM-SACDs like MoFi does with its SACDs, then it's a different story. $50+ is a lot of $$$ for a single-layer stereo SACD....actually, for any disc.

I read this and saw that ElusiveDisc was sold out of the SHM-SACD Exile On Main Street. I saw AcousticSounds still had it so I grabbed it. If they are drying up the prices will start to pop soon.
Good music, a good source, and good power can make SDA's sing. Tubes make them dance.

As noted at the Steve Hoffman forum today, previously announced gold CD releases from Chicago (the band) and Dean Martin will now be issued on SACD instead.
