Good Speaker Mount for Monitor 30?
Hi Folks,
I got a pair of Monitor 60's and a CS1 from Newegg that were discounted last week. Arrived yesterday. So far, so good.
I should have the pair of Monitor 30's that I plan to wall mount as surrounds. I have a pair of Paradigms mounted back there, and I'm planning on taking those down.
Anyone know of a good, easy to install wall mount to handle the 9lbs of each Monitor 30?

They should just be able to be keyhole mounted with just a good wall anchor rated to take that load IIRC. I used Pinpoint AM40 wallmounts for my Monitor 40's but they would be overkill for the M30's I would think. That and you dont need it since they can be keyhole mounted
Your local hardware store should have some anchor options for you, just ensure the weight load is more than the speaker (I have my ~25 lbs each LSi f/x installed using their keyhole mounts and wall anchors myself so I know it can be done)"....not everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted." I think I'll go with this mount. Looks solid, in case I want to upgrade down the road. -
I used small LCD mount (from monoprice) to get the surrounds 4 inches off the wall.....The keyhole is mounted with screw and ziptie for extra safetyVideo: LG 55LN5100/Samsung LNT4065F

Cool. Only suggestion for you is to NOT screw the speaker to the bracket as suggested. I used velcro, some folks used blu tack ect. With the Monitor 30's you should need to do anything other than tighten down the sides anyway due to weight. With the Monitor 40's I was a little uncomfortable with them not being secured a bit to the bottom plate of the bracket so like I said I used velcro. Should be a problem with just Monitor 30's/
I mention that because I would hate for you to mess up the nice vener on the Monitor 30's when its not really needed at all.
Glad I could help and welcome to the club and hope to see you continue posting!"....not everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted." William Bruce Cameron, Informal Sociology: A Casual Introduction to Sociological Thinking (1963) -

Thank you for the pointers.
I was planning on using (or at least hide) the holes from the previous set up. Speakers were there when I moved in.
I already have the CS1 and Monitor 60's since Monday. So far they have been excellent, especially for the price I paid!
Can one do better? Sure... But I have a relatively small living room and they all sound fine to me so far. Better than the T15's and CSR I was using - those sounded pretty good too for the price I paid. -

No worries at all. I would suggest that you make sure the bracket that mounts to the actual wall be secured properly with either wall anchors or if into studs even better.
Nothing at all wrong with your setup. I ran a very similar setup for a year or two and it was a big jump from the old Sony HTIAB setup. I had Monitor 60's as fronts a CS2 center and switched between Monitor 40's and R50's as my surrounds. Sounded quite good! If you decide later on to look at the other series of Polks like the RTi's, cool, if you enjoy the ones you have and are happy there, still cool.
Its all about the music/movies and as long as your enjoying what you have who cares what series your running or how much they cost. .
Again welcome to the club and if we can help ya with questions feel free to ask ."....not everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted." William Bruce Cameron, Informal Sociology: A Casual Introduction to Sociological Thinking (1963) -

I uninstalled the old speakers and installed some solid wall anchors last night.
I should have the mounts tomorrow. -

Here's to hoping the exsisting holes like up! -
If you are looking for a good solid mount that tilts and swivels then I recommend the pinpoint am40. They work perfectly for monitor 30s and 40s. I found these on Amazon that look identical to the pinpoints, probably the same thing

Got them mounted with the pinpoint am40. Buddy of mine came over with the digital stud finder and laser level.
One is going into a stud. The other - I bought decent drywall mounts. Neither are going anywhere :-) -
