Is the RT2000P in black vinyl or veneered?

My RT2000P is finished in black oak... Is it vinyl clad or veneered? i want to refinish it to maple veneer and need to know how to strip the old black oak off.
second question, how do you take the unit apart to replace the midwoofer?
