Greetings everyone. My name is Greg and I am new to the forum. Hopefully I have some things to learn here. But, my first post is about an oldset of RT8'S. I am looking at a used set. They are in perfect condition. Wood is perfect, covers are perfect, I mean they are in PERFECT condition  But my question is, what are they worth? Is $125.00 too much to shell out? Any imput would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

Greg

Frys has been selling them for new for $300 a pair so $125 seems like a fair price.

He might be talking about the RT"A"8. What say you Jeeper? Late 80's to early 90's?

$125 is just a little pricey for the little brother to the RTA11t. I think I advertised a pair here for $100/local pick-up not long ago. Never heard a word.

See if he'll take 75-80 bucks. I've got a pair of them myself and they are smooth speaker with some good power driving them. One of my favs in the bunch.

Are you talking about the RT8 home theater floor speakers? You can look at the picture in the old models section of this site. They were about $275 each when new. In a small to medium sized room they do decent on movies and ok for music. I still have mine from 1997. I see them for sale once in a great while for 75 - 100 dollars a pair. Sometimes more.
