Today is a great day

Back in the summer I was forced to dismantle and sell my entire 2-channel setup as I lost my job and was struggling to keep a roof over our head for 3 months. It's been a very slow recovery. One that I'm still digging out of today but it's all worth it.
Today is a happy day as it reminds me just how much I have come to really love this hobby. I just finished assembling my new setup. Made the trip early this morning when there was NO traffic at the border to retrieve gear.

It was far too long without music in the house and even more so reminded me just how DAMN good these 3.1TL's sound...bone stock. Those will be modded soon but until then, it was just nice to hear them again. Yes the gear is far from being of high quality but will get me by until I can once again splurge on better gear.
Thanks to all for the kind encouraging words over the months and who have gone far out of my comfort zone in helping me acquire some of the mods for these speakers and in acquiring this new gear. You all know who you are and I thank you very much again.
Tonight... I'll be enjoying the music for the first time in months. Next week the mods begin.

Got your gear just in time to huddle up inside for the cold temps and snow storms to start!

I think my other half was more excited to hear SDA's than I was. She took the "sweet spot" of the couch, picked HER music and she was content, eyes closed enjoying music she loves.Got your gear just in time to huddle up inside for the cold temps and snow storms to start!
Amen to that. I live in a house built in 1903. Nuff said.Cool story, and I have been there done that!

Clear your PM's, trying to send you something.
Edit: The easiest way to sell doing xover upgrades was to say "and to think that these speakers can sound better...", and I got that approval look. -

Glad to hear you are back in the swing. I was layed off five years ago and wound up moving half way across the country to find something decent.
