A pair of 60's vintage KLH Model 22's, that's what!

Picked them up with nice Pioneer analog tuner for less than 5 bones all together.

The KLH's have, what appears to be a 3.5" cone tweet, 8" woof in a sealed box design. The cabs are in great shape, couple nicks but nothing major. Good grill cloth with the original KLH logos in tact.

Great sound to these, highs roll off fairly early but oh so smoothly. Bass, not lease breakers but we are talking about a bookshelf. The mids are smooth as a prom queen's thighs. Not the most detailed but in terms of smoothness, almost magic.

All in all, I'm MORE than pleased, even if George thinks I paid about a dollar too much! I've got them hooked up to my vintage Marantz receiver. I'm thinking about putting together a vintage rig with these, the Marantz, AR XA turntable.......be kinda neat.

    Awesome score.

I NEED some old KLH back in the house here. Makes me want to go on the hunt this morning - perhaps I will!

I was going to mention the custom Scott Nixon tube cd player (on a Phillips chassis) that I'm bagging today for $100 - but I'll save that for another post - no parade raining here. ;)

    Cheers,
    Russ

So, when can I expect a tracking number on the ADC?

I don't know, could very well be what they were for. I can't find a THING about them and our resident Kloss expert hasn't turned up much either.

Love 'em though. I think folks will be surprised what hifi was back in the 60's at the Polkfest.

I don't know what that means exactly - but it sounds like I'm going to be happy.

JBL L65 Jubals for $15 here.

I feel in love with them, but in the end decided to sell them for $650 on ebay.

Nice grab on those Jubal's! I don't think I could've stood them for very long myself, but they sure are collectible. I found a pair of L-96's not long ago for $20, but I didn't sell them for $650 that's for sure. Jubal's had the glass top no?

yeap they where the glass top one--they had black felt under the glass and they looked so neat!

I have been thinking of building my own amp for a while now, and I want to design the case the same way-black felt and glass.
