Is this rti38 worth buying for this price?

One of the manager in my local stores (Polk audio certified dealership) gave me this rti38 (floor model) for $140 out the door. It's in a good condition except for some minor scratches at the back corner of the cabinet (you can't even see them unless you come close to check them). I had the speakers reserve under my name til tomorrow because I want to get your feed back first before I bag it. Is the price reasonable enough to buy the speakers?

Is $140 for 1 or 2? Your post sounds singular and $140 for 1 (open box) is not the best deal.

I don't think that is a good deal at all. I picked up FOUR Rti38s from CC Open box, in PERFECT condition for $49.99 each.
You might try CC instead.

I say it all depends on your area. In my area there were not many good deals that I could find. I say that sounds like a good deal for a pair and if you snooze you loose. Trust me it happened to me with a perfect pair of fxi-30's, only you can be the true judge of whats a good deal in your area.

Great news guys, the manager gave me the pair of rti38 speakers for $100.00 + tax. I guess he some how gave me a brake for visiting consistantly visiting his store to check for great bargains like these. He was the same guy who sold me the csi40 for $99.00 + tax (it too was an opened box but in mint condition). To the manager, thanks again for the great deals.
