Used Receiver Recommendation

I'm looking for a decent used A/V receiver for my living room to replace the Sony that recently died on me.
Setup is not too fancy:
- Older Hitachi 50in Plasma HDTV with HDMI inputs
- Pace TDC775 Cable Box (has optical in/out and digital coax in/out plugs)
- Sonos:Connect streaming audio component (digital coax/out, optical out, RCA in/out)
- Thinking about buying a used Sony PS3 for gaming/streaming video and blu-rays.
- I have a 4.1 (no center channel) speaker set up with two Polk TSi400 towers in front, a sub and two ceiling mounted speakers behind.
- I also output to a second, cheapy, Pyle 2X75 watt amp that drives some outdoor mounted speakers on the patio.
I don't want to spend more than $US 200 and can wait until after christmas, but I'd like to have some specific units in mind that I can search for in eBay, craigslist and Amazon marketplace.
So maybe a model that is 2-3 years old and was $500 or more when new? Anyone have some recommendations? I don't need any 3D or streaming/internet capabilities or 7.1.
Seen some good things about Yamaha on the AVForums. Anyone have experience with them and an idea how they match up with my Polk's? I've seen a couple references to the Yamaha's being "warm".

Not sure about 200, but for 300-400 you can find a used Onkyo TX-SR805. Just make sure that its HDMI board works properly.Panasonic PT-AE4000U projector for movies

Yamaha RX-V2400 works great with my TSi400's. Plenty of power & all the bells & whistles except HDMI. Couple of them for under $200 on ebay. $1000 new when i bought mine. Still sounds great. Preouts, 2 zone capable. Model is 8 or 9 yrs old though. Just my opinion on a reciever i still own. Use it in a 2nd system.

Check Onecall. They have some discontinued models from a few manufacturers for really good prices.

I wouldnt go for an AVR that was much more than 1 year old. It is the brain of your hometheater system and the first to go out of date.
The cheapest I would go would be a Refrubished one from www.accessories4less.comAVR: Onkyo Tx-NR808
Amplifier: Carver A-753x 250 watts x 3
Fronts: Polk RTI A7 (modded by Trey VR3)
Center: CSI A4 (modded by Trey VR3)
Rear: FXI A4
Sub: Polk DSW Pro 660wi
TV: LG Infinia 50PX950 3D
Speaker Cable: AudioQuest Type 8
IC: AudioQuest Black Mamba II -

Probably a bit off-topic, but AVR does not have to be the brain in your HT. As an example, my Oppo BDP-93 does all the processing and Rotel RMB-1075 does the amplification. All my Onkyo 805 is doing is Audyssey equalization for 5.1 and distribution of sound into the right channels.Panasonic PT-AE4000U projector for movies
