Speaker Break-in (Monitor 70 SII, CS2 SII, PSW505)
Hello,
I recently purchased a set of Monitor 70 SII surrounds, CS2 SII center and PSW505 sub for my home theater system. I have searched on this forum and on Google but I couldn't find anything about any break-in procedure for these speakers. Obviously I don't want to blow them out from the get go. Does anyone have any suggestions, or is there any factory recommended break-in procedure? BTW I will be powering them with a Denon AVR-3313CI [ 125W per channel, http://usa.denon.com/us/product/pages/productdetail.aspx?catid=avreceivers(denonna)&pid=avr3313ci(denonna) ] amp, if that is helpful info.
Thank you for any help!

I'd just use them as normal, but keep an eye on the volume knob. I'd say they need about 100 hours or more to break in completely but you should be just fine. Some people will run pink noise or leave something playing through them at a moderate level to break them in faster.

Thanks for the suggestion.
I don't know why the link for the receiver didn't work in my first post, but here it is shortened: http://goo.gl/HlxlDFront Speakers: Polk Audio LSi15 x 2

Agreed. Just use them normally, no big deal. My Cs2 sounded harsh to me (sss's and t's were exaggerated) at first. but it went away after the first 20hrs or so. You wont blow them up as long as you keep that amp from clipping.Oh, Listen here mister. We got no way of understandin' this world. But we got as much sense of this bird flyin in the sky. Now there is a lot that bird don't know, but it don't change the fact that the world is happening to him all the same. What I am tryin to say is, is that the course of your life, well its changing, and you don't even see it- Forest Bondurant
