Help: Better half wants something she can listen to CDs on for Christmas

Something like a boombox or portable CDP, cringe. I have a MacMini I could stream music or from her iPhone but she is not much for technology.
I am looking for something that looks good, sounds good, plays CDs and has the ability to stream from my Mac Mini (I will see if I can train her on it, if not at least I can).
Polks I-Sonic comes close but no CDP. I have even looked at Bose Airwave, shudder.
Need some ideas.
Thanks,

Maybe this and a pair of Blackstone TL3s

Maybe the Denon is not a good choice, seems to have S/W issues.Speakers: SDA-1C (most all the goodies)

i'd say the denon is the best option.. but if you don't need the streaming necessarily here's the onkyo version
http://www.amazon.com/Onkyo-CS-345-Hi-Fi-Mini-System/dp/B0069RZ2CE/ref=dp_return_2?ie=UTF8&n=172282&s=electronics
this yamaha is interestin as well

and while it doesn't say so on the black version of the Denon if you look at the silver version on Amazon it states it does have air play.Main 2ch -

Cambridge has some similar products:

I would think about these over BOSE any day of the week! As mentioned the Polk looks good by no CDP!
Some of the Onkyo systems are pretty nice, too!

Yeah, right now the Denon is the only one that has all the features including airplay, plus it has 65wpc in 4 ohms. Might have to hook up the Monitor 5s to it:biggrin:.
That paired with a pair of Blackstone TL3s should sound sweet.
Probably over the top for what she wants.Speakers: SDA-1C (most all the goodies)

If you have the space, Cambridge's S30 speakers sound really nice for the money."He who fights with monsters should look to it that he himself does not become a monster. And when you gaze long into an abyss the abyss also gazes into you." Friedrich Nietzsche

The Marantz M-CR603 also fits the bill?

Thanks CNH, it is close but no WIFI, $100 more than the Denon and no iPHONE/iPAD app to use as remote, not that that is a deal breaker and not even the $100 but the WIFI is.
Its even probably a better unit.Speakers: SDA-1C (most all the goodies)

I would look at a sonos connect amp. You may need a bridge as well. You could then add a small form factor CD player if that was needed. The iPhone app is great and it is simple to use.

however it does have airplay so you still might be able to stream off your mac mini even without the wifi... but the price is a little higher than the denonMain 2ch -
