    Yes and no.
May be around half is a good price or little more than half.

For less than that price, you can go for Cornwalls which are much much better than chorus.

His firm price won't be much firm after few weeks/months of no buyer, at least informed buyer.

    Klipsch RB81, KG3.5, B&W DM602.5, Polk.
Subwoofers: Klipsch RW10, Triad ProSub Bronze.

I quite like the Chorus IIs - the price seems quite high, though (maybe a factor of two?).

EDIT: The Chorus was essentially a Cornwall replacement - as a long-time Cornwall owner, I thought that the Chorus was a much better behaved loudspeaker overall. The Cornies were fun, but the midrange is ragged and aggressive, and the HF shrill. Bass on the Cornies is fairly deep and very powerful, but none too well damped. Overall fun but very flawed loudspeakers. The Chorus (II, specifically) is much more capable of accurate performance relative ot my expectations (FWIW).

Around $800 or less for Cornwalls is great deal but if the pair is in great condition, they easily go over a grand.

BTW, if you get Cornwalls and upgrade to Bob Crites diaphragm/crossover, your quest for another speaker would end unless you spend 10 x.

Talked to the seller and he claims he had a 900 offer that he turned down, so these are out of my league as far as dollars go. Seller also claims that he has many high end speakers and is in no hurry to sell these, so in less someone really wants them bad................he just may be hanging on to them. I do like the looks and would probably love the sound of em, but I guess I'll never know!! That's my Mystery.

I heard some Chorus II's last weekend. Probably could have sounded nicer, but the setup was less than ideal, IMO. They were driven with an Adcom pre and a 555 series II, which didn't really do it for me. FWIW, I sold some Forte II's for half that price, which seemed to be an average going rate around here. They are a taller version of the Chorus, IIRC.

Adcom... not where I'd go with vintage Klipsch (FWIW). Best I ever heard my own Cornies sound was driven by a Marantz 8B (pp EL34, ca. 35 wpc) - pp EL84 works well with them (ca. 14 wpc)... they like the vintage Fisher 7591/7868 pp receivers (400, 500B/C, 800B/C) @ about 25 wpc. The smoothness and rounded off edges of the Fisher receiver sound does a nice job of easing the very rough edges of the Klipsch and EV horns in the Cornies. They're supposed to be excellent with Mac MC-30s or MC-60s - I don't doubt it, but I've never heard the pairing. An MC-225 would be nice with Cornies or Choruses, I would think.

Ive listened to a lot of klipsch over the years and mhardy is correct, they do respond nicely to tubes, i think most horns do actually.as said it takes the edge off them.

I concur... fwiw, I paid $800 for my Cornies (in the mid-1990s), which wasn't so bad given that they came bundled with a McIntosh MC-2100 power amp, C-28 preamp, and a Sansui TU-717 tuner for that price. The Cornies sounded just horrible with the autoformer-coupled, solid state Mac stuff - unbearably harsh and grainy.

I had a pair of the chorus II's a few years back. My first set of sda's (2.3s) replaced them. Those nasty sounding chorus's left about a week after the 2.3s came here. Didn't matter what I drove those klipsches with they'd grate on your nerves and ears in a short amount of time. If you like the smooth sound of polks I'm betting you won't like harsh sound of those horns.
