Noticed some amps have signal sensing or remote turn-on, etc., while others require manually flipping the amp on and off. I'd imagine that there's a way around having to go through that extra step. If so, how?

Thanks.

The only thing that I can tell is what not to do.I've been told by just about everyone here NOT to plug your amp into your pre
into a switched outlet. This will give you your instant on when you power up but again this was widely panned here and I do not do it. My Adcom has no trigger or remote so I get up turn it on and that's about it.

Not that this is correct, but I have only seen auto-sensing turn-on on subwoofer amps.

You can build a box with a high current relay and plug that will turn your your amp on and off with a trigger they are not hard to build.

I will have the one my friend made by this weekend.

Adcom GFA-6002 has signal sensing, but none of their other stereo amps do to my knowledge.
