b&w rock solid monitors

just saw these for 40$ so i deciided to take a gamble, any expirience with these, anything i should know or suggestions for them, TIA

    Should be good for $40. Strange little monitors that weren't actually labelled as B&W, but I think they were weather-proof if that's what you wanted to use them for.

    Rock Solid was a Sub-Brand of B&W they were around until the mid late 90's I think. I actually audition a pair of them when they were new and sounded really good for the price. I think they were $199.00 for the pair then.

    just wanted a decent wall mountable speaker and for the price i figured i could give it a whirl, i have heard theyre better than the rti4 for 2 channel, any opinions on that?

    i had trouble finding any specs. on them, i know they are 2 way, 5 1/4 inch, 70-150 watt, other than that i couldnt find much, anyone have some or know where i can find specs?

    Not too much info available on them, but you could always shoot an email to B&W and see if they have anything.

    kinda kickin myself right now, wish i would have done some closer reading, the rock solid i ordered was a single speaker, i think i'll use it as a center for the time being, till my csi3 arrives, so looks like i still need to buy some surrounds
