Wow. That's all I can say. Wow. Larry, seriously. You are the greatest human being alive. You have truly outdone yourself. Thank you a million times over for making these for me. As great as they look in the photos, they're just so much better than the photos can do justice. Absolutely fan-freakin-tastic. Evhudsons, as high as you may have your expectations set, you're still going to be blown away. The only problem with these stands is that they're now the showpiece, not my 4.1TL's. I need to get back to the office, I'll get them spiked and put the speakers on them later tonight and post a few photos. I am completely humbled, these things are incredible. You have skills I cannot even begin to comprehend, my friend. Thank you again!!!
Good music, a good source, and good power can make SDA's sing. Tubes make them dance.

Yes, definitely will be using the foam. Pics will come tonight, although I will say up front that the real things are nicer than a photo could possibly make them look.

Well, the pics are not great. It's tough to really get a good view of them, because the walls in my music room are painted brown. Black against brown doesn't show up all that well. I did make sure to angle a shot of the Polk Audio logo with the white woodwork behind it so there was enough contrast to see it. These are definitely far more impressive in real life than they are in the photos!

I need to apply some cable ties to the back so they're out of site so I can deal with the speaker cables behind the stands. Those wires are a mess!

EntersShadow said it best in my 4.1TL thread:
Larrys stands shoot awesomeness and glitter out in a 360 degree angle on all sides. Thats all you need to know .

And I'm honored to be one of the three! And the pics really do nothing for these. In the pics they look like.... stands. But when I opened them up and saw them, I just couldn't believe what I had in my possession. They are just absolutely superb.

Oh, by the way, the foam strips were perfect. Absolutely no need to send any more. Thanks again!

I've got dinner guests over right now so I can't spend time gushing over the stands just yet, but I have to get on here and tell yall, dangomite! There are no pictures that can do it justice, these are works of art by a master skilled artisan. I will post pictures when I get the cabs done. If I do it sooner my speakers will detract from the stands, if you want to call them stands. Perfect, level, solid, weighted, aligned, and in all measure of things simply unbelievable. The fact that I am one of three makes my head spin.

Larry, seriously, you are some kind of special person that could even make this happen. When I bought my CRS+ speakers new in 1989 I couldn't afford the stands too because I went with the most speaker my savings could muster. I regreted not getting the stands all these years, and no one in my entire life had any knowledge of SDA much less the CRS+ SDA's. My love for them was my own, and I protected my speakers up there with my dogs and guitar.

I am more than appreciative of what I have here. Even though you made them with your own labor and I will never know the full effort you put in them you may never understand the full appreciation I have for them.

Wow. As soon as I get the CRS+ speakers in showroom condition, only then will they be worthy of pictures taken on your stands. I'll make sure it's an event, and I'll get some hot girls modeling them. Yeah, nice.... and they won't be cheap truck stop strippers, they'll be some classy girls.

Ahhhh..... Evhudsons I was waiting for this post! So glad to see you feel the same way I do. You and I are so fortunate to have these. Larry is a master craftsman, and an incredibly great guy. These are speakers for life.

And funny you mention it, because I also bought CRS+'s in 1989, although not the pair I have now. And I also couldn't afford the stands!

I got a big package delivered to me at work today, that put a big ol grin on my face. Neil's original stands that became available due to Larrys kindness and making him his custom Stands, for his 4.1tls that in turn made his originals available and Neil was kind enough to let me buy them off of him.

I think its cool how these stands were once Sal's, then Neils, and now mine, keeping them in the CP family is what it's all about. Once again thanks Neil I will keep them and cherish them forever:cheesygrin:

I was so close to owning these beautiful stands, but the CRS+'s I purchased came with a set of Lovan (high end) stands so I missed out. They are stunning and keeps that Polk Vibe happening!!
