Recommend me some in ceiling speakers please...
Hey guys,
need some recommendations for in ceiling surround speakers that will compliment my front end of Yamaha RX-V373 amp, 2 x Monitor 50, 1 x PSW10 and 1 x CS1.
I was going to go with a pair of Monitor 30's on stands but I realize that I need to have these speakers in ceiling due to having open plan living area where free standing rear speakers will not work.
My guess is the RC60 or RC80 would be timber matched and would work well. Any other choices will be appreciated.
Thanks,
Footman

I love my tc60i's. Wish I would have gone with the 80i's just so that I got the top of the line, but I bought 4 and at the time a $1000 was the total price.Sharp LC-80uq17u

Interesting. I can buy the RC60i's for $99/pair and the RC80i's for $149/pair. I guess either would be a good choice with my front end. Do I really need the extra oomph of the 80's? -
I would get the 80's, for 50 more bucks you would be covered and never woner what if. Besides it only takes one extra inch of roofspace.
Good luck,HT:

I have the RC60is in my great room (zone 2) and some 8 inch monoprice in ceiling speaks for surrounds in the theater. For surrounds I don't think there is much difference between the polks and the MP, but I would go for an 8 inch pair because the difference in bass is nice for HT.
FYI. the RC80is are only 117 for an open-box pair on Amazon with free shipping; if I had it to do over again I would get those:
