Using a receiver's amps for surrounds?

I have an Adcom 5 channel amp that I have been using in a 5.2 home theater setup that I was considering using in an experiment to either bi-amp either my front 2 Mirage OMD-15's, or in my other system, my front 2 Polk LSi9's just to see if I notice a difference in the sound. Out of the 5 channels of the amp, 4 of them will be needed to bi-amp the mains. The 5th channel I was going to use to power the center. This will leave the surrounds to power. I was thinking about using 2 ofthe receiver's amps in either the HK AVR-354, or the Sherwood R-972 to power the them.

My question is will this present some kind of noticeable coloration or "sonic problems" mismatching the power amps like this? Or, is it ok to do this because they are the surrounds, and it's not as critical to match power amp to speakers like it might be for the fronts and center? I don't mind getting another Adcom to power the surrounds if it will make that much difference. Anybody experimented with doing this before?

I have an opportunity to purchase an Adcom GFA-545 (2 ch, 125/wpc 8ohms) for $100 that I could use for the surrounds, but the guy will only hold the amp until tomorrow. Opinions?
