Hey any day you crash and walk away from it, It's a GREAT Day!
Personally, never raced. Have 8 years of hill country riding experience though.
The ducati is tooo expensive to fix.
Especially when you do this:

Not a great weekend
Friday practice was a bit of a disaster. Cold morning so I skipped the first session. Red flag after red flag kept us off the track. One person was transported to the hospital. Very annoying.
The sprints on Sunday came after we got a few inches of rain during the night. Luckily, I only had 1 race in the morning and the other 3 were in the afternoon. My first race I got a 'meh' start due to all the water on the track. Knocked off a few people and got down to 8th place after starting in 20th.
The next race I got a great start...but when I get great starts, something always happens to screw it up. I hit a big patch of water and lost the front tire. It slid for about 12+ feet before it hooked back up. Not only did I not pass the other few people in front of me that I would've, but I also lost a few positions because of it. After battling with a guy on a 1000cc bike (compared to my 600) for a couple of laps, I finally get around him but the rest of the pack is gone. At some point during that race I caught a rock in the radiator and that ended my weekend 2 races short. Learned a couple things, one of which is I'm absolutely a 'fair weather racer'. I have no plans on racing again if the conditions are the way they were. Started 22nd, ended up in 10th. I might have been able to podium that race, or at least reach into the top 5, had I not played around in the water.
Here's the video where I almost wrecked. It looks every bit as bad as it felt...haha. A lot of the time the videos never do it justice. The first 30 seconds are the most eventful.

I'll be doing track days next year, but I think I plan on giving up racing until later in the year. We have some other things that require money now...haha
Enjoy!
