Sitting here on a rainy Veterans Day...working on some photographs and listening to vinyl...

It's all coming back to me now!

Absolutely! I recently picked up some mint early Peter Greene era Fleetwood Mac albums and it's nice to be able to listen to the changes and progression of the group.

Good point Doug. Unless you knew the history one would be hard pressed to connect the sound of the Peter Green/Jeremy Spencer Fleetwood Mac to the Lindsey Buckingham/Stevie Nicks Fleetwood Mac. It is interesting that the Fleetwood Mac of the album above has it's roots in John Mayall's Bluesbreakers and a period with Bob Welch (RIP). I think all the work throughout the progession of this band is well worth listening to.

It has been a good day. I'm off from work for Veteran's Day, the wife is on a trip with one of my daughters and it cold, blustery, rainy day. It is just me and the dogs. I spent 12 hours yesterday hiking and photographing in the mountains...so today, given the weather and solitude, it has been a good day to sort through the images and play some music. The TT and CDP have been playing non-stop since about 8:30 this morning...consisting mostly of albums that haven't been spun in in a very long time. Good stuff.

Love that Bonnie Raitt album. I think "I can't make you love me" song is one of the most emotional/soulful songs ever written, and love Bruce Hornsby's piano playing on that song.

Re: Fleetwood Mac, I just started collecting their older stuff on CD. My favorites include "Mystery to Me" (features a line in from the song Hypnotized about ". . . a strange strange pond in North Carolina"), Kiln House, and Future Games, which has the original version of the Bob Welch song "Sentimental Lady." I always liked this version better than the one he released a few years later as a solo artist.
