I would like to download a test tone cd that has all the frequency ranges, im not very experienced in downloading, ripping, or using this kind of cd to check my speakers, so any info is helpful.

Travis(Tnhndyman), tried to do it for me when he was here, but we were having problems with a program on our computer at the time.

Even just recommending a website where i can learn more about using this kind of thing would be helpful.

I do own a spl meter so if i can get this downloaded and use it im good.

Thanks,

scott

I have a CD somewhere that came with my HSU sub. ARe you wanting to measure the full freq range or just subwoofer ranges? I could make you a copy, I do not know about downloading them.

If you are doing full range you will need an SPL well suited for that. Radio shack meter will need some adjustments for subwoofer range and should not be used for full range.

Have you looked at REW (Room EQ Wizard)?

Manual measurements are slow and tidious.
Speakers: SDA-1C (most all the goodies)
Preamp: Joule Electra LA-150 MKII SE

    Analog: Marantz TT-15S1 MBS Glider SL| Wright WPP100C Amperex BB 6er5 and 7316 & WPM-100 SUT
    Digital: Mac mini 2.3GHz dual-core i5 8g RAM 1.5 TB HDD Music Server Amarra (memory play) - USB - W4S DAC 2
Cables: Mits S3 IC and Spk cables| PS Audio PCs

See, i dont even know how I want to go about this, except i do want to check a full range.

Not really worried about subwoofer range, as im gonna be checking speaks I know dont reach down that far.

I appreciate the offer TH, but I think with my pitiable comp. skills, I think it would be Ideal to nab one from a site.
