I keep coming back to look at that picture, so I just sent him an email asking how old the speakers are, how much they weigh, if any drivers need to be refoamed, if any modifications have been done ... :loneranger:
Hope he replies. This goes beyond the "What Were You Thinking ?" category. Even taking into account that it was done by one of our northern neighbors, it still is

Is it just me or does it look like he also drilled out the SL tweeters and put horns in there as well.. ???

Would be a lot of work to put those back to what they should be. I'd give him $50 for the pair.. Might be a fun project to rescue them if you could buy them for next to nothing.

No, I'm not kidding. I don't know jack about Polk speakers. I do know when someone is being an a-hole though.

I REALLY thought you were joking! But now I see you were not. Perhaps you should change your pad and get your Google on then!

I was referring to the second comment but I guess you fit right in.

    Oh the horror!
Good music, a good source, and good power can make SDA's sing. Tubes make them dance.

You quoted me as well there. And I can not tell what you were really referring to.
