Well, my 2 channel system has been down for a while now because my Adcom 545 II started acting up.

I had the Adcom recapped among other things about 6 months ago and then it started doing things it should not.

My amp guy will fix it for free most likely

I shipped off for repair to my amp guy, we will see.

So lately I have had to resort to listening to music through my HT set-up.

While it is good for HT purposes, it is just not great for music play back nor set up for it really.

It is just truely amazing at the difference in sound quality that I noticed between my 2 channel rig and my HT rig.

I really need my amp back, it is depressing since I work from home alot and listen to music during the day quite a bit:sad:

Does your receiver have a "Pure Direct" or "Music Optimizer" mode?

Yes my receiver has pure direct, and that is what I was using.

The whole set up is just not good for music, playing cd's on a BDP and less that steller BA CR-7 speakers with Subwoofer.

It sounds good for HT use but that is about it.

Nothing compared to the Adcom paired with a tube preamp and a good CDP.

It just sucks to listen to when you have been listening to one rig for so long.

I feel your pain and then some. My 2 channel system hasn't existed since June or July. It's been a while...

Should be back up around new years... waiting has been the hardest part.

No music in the house (for any length of time) is depressing.
