I've got lsi15s and lsic for front and center . my fronts are run with a carver a500x and the center is run off the amp. I have some Boston acoustic in the rear . I would like to get some new rears . Would my receiver be able to Handle the load of some lsi or should I find something in 8 ohm?

What receiver do you have?

The Marantz 7002

It's not rated at 4 ohms by Marantz, so they don't specifically recommend it. However, there are plenty of reviews online that say it's capable. If it's just for surrounds... I'd probably give it a shot if it were mine, but I would never expect it to drive more than just two speakers. With an amp running your fronts, you're probably ok.
