I'am planning on taking a trip to NYC next year and would like to audition some speakers. Planning on buying a new set in the future. These speakers will be for a 2ch system only. Can anyone recommend a place with a good varity of say 2-5k range in speakers? Don't mind going around to a few places.

I bought pretty much all of my audio gear based internet reviews and info from the fine folks on here. There's really nothing around where I live. Kinda sucks

Would like to hear anything from the ones below, but definitly not limit to.

von schweikert
Salksound
focal
Magnepan

Any help would appreciated. Thanks

Unless you're wearing a $1,000 suit or have a Rolex on, be prepared to be treated like a second class citizen at some NYC hifi dealers.

Ah thats ok, as long as I can hear speakers I'll be happy. If I find I'am being treated like that, and I find the pair I like, I'll just buy them elsewhere. There loss!
