DXi525 replacements just as bad

Hi all,
I replaced the stock cheap lighweight paper cones in my 2012 Renault Clio RS200 still using the stock head unit.
Unfortunately the Polk's sound just as bad as the stock items. I know I can't expect too much from a stock head unit but i was expecting some improvement from this upgrade.
Looking at the photos you can see how bad the stock items are BUT they work just as well (or badly)as the Polks

I'm very sorry, somehow I didn't see your original posting. If I had I would have suggested giving Polk's CS department a call at 1-800-377-7655 or sending them an email at polkcs@polkaudio.com. When you say, "sound just as bad" can you elaborate? Are you hearing distortion? If we knew a little bit more about what the problem is, maybe we could help.
