This is crazy. Before i went to work this morning my dvd was working. When I cam home it wouldn't work. The only thing it could be is the optic conection. If the red light is on through the cable is the cable all right? If the cable is all right then it has to be the avr correct? I have checked to make sure all conections are secure and the propper optical is assigned. Any suggestions are welcome. Thank you

The fiber sounds right I suppose. Hard to say, a crimp in the fiber will cause the signal to get srewed up. No one has screwed around with it when you werent looking have they? Try resetting the inputs in the AVR setup as well as the audio options on the DVD. Might as well unplug both units to "hard" reset them as well. Beyond that, you got me.....

After you turn on the amp press the 4 button then turn on the dvd. If you don't press the corresponding number key while the amp is highlighted on the remote the reciever wont know which item you are trying to use.
