hi all
Its only 125 w/ch into 8 ohms but a healthy 1000w/ch into 1ohm. I am asking about speakers to match as I also posted in the vintage forum that I am looking for the sda srs 2.3 as it cannot be found here in vietnam. If the p1000would be a good match for the 2.3? Need expert advice here. I bought the lsi703 also purely based on feedback from the polk speaker forum.Main: Accuphase E406 with Marantz CD6004 driving Polk LSi M705

I think it would run either fine. I ran my 2.3 with a mcintosh 2105 rated at 105 per.Klipsch The Nines, Audioquest Thunderbird Interconnect, Innuos Zen MK3 W4S recovery, Revolution Audio Labs USB & Ethernet, Border Patrol SE-I, Audioquest Niagara 5000 & Thunder, Cullen Crossover II PC's.

Thanks I have my e406coming in next week, I hope but have still got no response from the thread in the vintage section. Maybe as some of the replies mentioned will take a long time to lay my hands on the 2.3s. Do you have any recommendations for speakers for the 406? While you can get sound out of 2.3 with an amp of 125 wpc (preferable high current as well), my experience with my 2.3TL's is that you won't really wake them up until you at least double that. If your ultimate goal is to get an amp that you can use with 2.3's I would go for more power."Science is suppose to explain observations not dismiss them as impossible" - Norm on AA; 2.3TL's w/sonicaps/mills/jantzen inductors, Gimpod's boards, Lg Solen SDA inductors, RD-0198's, MW's dynamatted, Armaflex speaker gaskets, H-nuts, brass spikes, Cardas CCGR BP's, upgraded IC Cable, Black Hole Damping Sheet strips, interior of cabinets sealed with Loctite Power Grab, AI-1 interface with 1000VA A-L transformer

Well is it going to be the power amp or the integrated?
Don't worry, one or the other will do fine. Unless I'm totally mistaken the rooms in most countries in that part of the world are small, relative to the size of rooms here in N. America.
It's the first watt that really counts and I don't believe there is better than what you have. -
hi harley52
You're right, I am currently listening in my living room which is 4.5m x 5m with opening all over. Not ideal for serious listening except dead on the sweet spot I am saving up to build a dedicated room for my system next heart. I will stick with my integrated for the time. The new room will be even smaller at 3.8m x 2.8m but it would have acoustic treatment. I guess the 703s are more than sufficient. May drop the idea of the sda srs 2.3. Simply no room to do justice to the speakers.Main: Accuphase E406 with Marantz CD6004 driving Polk LSi M705
