Stand 38lb LCD TV on top of CSI A6??

I want to have a CSI A6, flat side up, with shims (pehaps two rubber door stops) underneath the curved side to
prevent it from rocking and then stand a 38lb LCD TV atop it right on the flat side.

Does this sound reasonable?

If not any suggestions for a simple way to have the speaker under the TV?

Thanks in advance,
Mike

I wouldn't recommend trying to balance your TV like that, perhaps you could build a small shelf around the center channel - two legs on either side and a board across the top, then set your TV on that sturdy shelf.
2 Channel - Polk SDA-2BTL, Carver TFM-35, Peachtree iDAC, Qobuz streamed via Episode Lynk using bubble UPnP server

NOT reasonable at all. Build the shelf.

Or, do it the right way and wall-mount the TV above the speaker.

Something like this (not my photo):

Another vote for wall mounting. MP has some nice mounts for cheap.

Yeah it was the first photo I found... Same principle however. Takes a bit of work routing wires through the wall, but gives the best overall look IMO.

Wall mount would be the best.

And this is the best reason. Flat screen TV do not like constant vibrations like a speaker generally produces.
TV sets are loaded with surface mount components on their circuit boards. They seem to be the main failure points in flat screens TVs. I have repaired quite a few sets for friends. And it is always a surface mount component.

TV Rider 2 but it isn't wide enough for a A6. You could always build one out of two oak stair treads. The font top and side legs would already have the rounded edge.

    AVR: Onkyo Tx-NR808
    Amplifier: Carver A-753x 250 watts x 3
Fronts: Polk RTI A7 (modded by Trey VR3)
Center: CSI A4 (modded by Trey VR3)
    Rear: FXI A4
    Sub: Polk DSW Pro 660wi
    TV: LG Infinia 50PX950 3D
    Speaker Cable: AudioQuest Type 8
    IC: AudioQuest Black Mamba II

It's an ancient device I believe was once referred to as a VCR by prehistoric man... Obviously Kitsune is a big anime fan, and probably has some on VHS. I'm an anime fan myself, but I don't have any on VHS... or resin figurines.
