i just picked up an onkyo m-504 in exceleent condition to drive my rta 12B's. any thoughts or input on the amp would be appreciated. thanks.

    That's a nice performer should have enough power for your RTAs. Plus it has those cool green meters. I think you'll be happy with it. There are a couple of members who run that amp in their setups. Do a search and see if you can find some threads!

    The real question is what are you using for a pre-amp? Actually the matching Onkyo Pre-amps for those power amps are pretty good values these days. Good all around with a very capable Phono section! Plus they look so nice "together"?

    i picked mine up thru a local electronic tech who replaced the green oem lamps with blue led's, tuned it, and brought it up to better than factory specs. i have a few pics, but don't know how to post them. what i'm looking at for a preamp is a hafler DH-110.

    That Hafler would work quite well with the Onkyo!

    I've had a M504 since it was new. I love this amp! Very solid performer IMO. The P301 and P304 are excellent preamps to mate with the M504. I've never had any issues with mine whatsoever. Someday I want to do the LED mod to mine.
