rti10s from Polk-Direct on e-bay

These are on e-bay for $549 a pair being sold by Polk! Would you consider that a good deal? I currently have a pair of more than 10 yr old rt55s as fronts which are still giving me first class performance. But I could move them to another room and replace them with the Rti10s as my main fronts if the upgrade in performance is worth the stated price. I need feed back on this soon before the e-bay units are sold off, in case I need to make a purchase. Any advice would be really helpful. By the way, I shall drive the rti10s with a Denon AVr991. Thanks.

    Don't know where you are located but Frys is selling the RTi12s for 599.00 a pair. But you will need a separate amp for sure.

    I'm in Massachusetts, so I guess that means I miss out on this party. What a bummer! They also have pairs of the Lsi9s going for $419.99, and that is also something I could consider picking up were there a store nearby. Sigh! Thanks for your response though.

    Its a great deal. Be warned though. Power drops signifcantly on that Denon when you add speakers. Measured output 2 channels 129W, 5 channels 97W, 7 channels 81W.

    Dont buy rti12 if you dont intend to use it with an amplifier. you will just be dissapointed.
