LSi 9 vs RT55i
How much better are the Lsi 9 series speakers than the older RT55i. I am currently using the RTs as my front channels, but have been recently looking at the Lsi 9's. Futhermore, if not the LSi 9's, what is the best front speaker in that same price range. Any advice would be great.

I was wondering this same thing while at work today. I've heard the 9s, but not the 55s. I know people really like both and that the 55s would be an easier load for most amps.

The RT55i's and the LSi 9's both have the same power output range (20-200 watt), so it seems that they would be similar as far an amp pushing them goes. I love my RT55i's they sound awesome and I've never heard them bottom out. I'm still wondering though, what the best polk speaker is at around the 500-$600 dollar range.

Skywalker,
Even though they have the same power handling, the LSi9 will draw more current from the amp because of its 4-ohms nominal impedance rating. The sensitivity of the LSi is also 3db lower than the RT55 so the LSi will need double the power of the RT55 to play at the same volume.
The best Polk speakers in the 500-600 price range would probably be the LSi7.

Would my Denon 3802 be able to sufficiently push the LSi 9 speakers to high performance?

I should think it'd be fine, but I could be wrong.Make it Funky!
