More of my stuff for sale. A Harman Kardon PM 655 vxi integrated amp and TU 911A tuner. Both these units were made by HK between 1987-1990 The 655 vxi is an 90 w/ch integrated amp with a high current output or 45 amps and the TU 911A is a very nice matching AM/FM digital tuner. Both thes units are in really excellent shape both visualy and operationaly. They almost seem like they have little use until I got them. All bottons and controls are clean and do what they should with a nice feel . The only exception is the loudbness control on the amp. When one pushes it in the music stops. Not sure why but I never use a loudness anyway and the tone controls with turnover work better anyway. The A terminals have been upgraded with ones that take bananas, pins or wire and as usual I use a detachable power cord with my gear so the original cord was cut but to put an IEC socket on. It has now been reattached by twisting each side together, soildering each side , taping each side and then taping them together.
The amp features inputs for CD, tuner, phono, aux, video (MM or MC) and two tape decks as well as preamp out and main amp in terminals which are switchable by the front panel button. Also there are video inputs and an output on back if one needs them. THIS IS NOT AN AV AMP They are just there for switching. Other features are subsonic and high filters, tone defeat with turnovers for bass and treble. MM/MC switch, cap trim and an a record out selector.
The tuner has the usual memory presets and a nice knob for tunning it is a very nice sounding tuner.
These are extremely nice pieces
I am asking $145 for the amp and $35 for the tuner or both for $160. Thanks

Believe it or not, my local pawn shop has this same model HK in it. Won't reveal their pricing though. Looks like a decent piece, along with the tuner, it deserves a...wait for it....BUMP!

I have the exact same Integrated Amp but my Tuner is the 911 (not 911A) . . . The HK integrated is very capable, it pushed my SDA 2Bs for a couple of years until I bought my Adcom 555II. The asking price is WAAAY below the Int value, IMHO
