hey, looks like a nice system, It seems like it would benefit from some better placement of the speakers though. I think you should expect the next bit of advice, but:
get that speaker off the floor!
go buy a stand, or build one, or stack some textbooks, something.
also, I believe you would benefit from wider spacing of your mains, i.e. switch the location of the pb2 and the bureau so they are on the inside and the polks are on the outside.
I believe these two things should give you better surround sound performance for movies, because you will have a more convincing surround field. It will also give you better 2 channel performance. Maybe you like the stuff the way it is and it would be a hassle to move it all, but I think you should at least try it out for one movie, move the the mains and find a temporary solution for the left surround and then I think that will convince you to keep it that way, despite the logistics

You have a very nice setup!
How ya liking that SVS sub? Thats the one on my wish list.
As Ceruleance said, you would benefit from a little better setup, but if thats the room you have to play with, then make the best of it.
JohnNo excuses! -
thanks for the suggestions, both of them have crossed my mind before i've just been to lazy to do anything plus i think it would make my bedroom look really weird if i did that. Hopefully soon though i'll be moving out and actually have a dedicated theatre room
edit: regarding the sub - loving it so far, when properly calibrated it doesn't overpower but still give you that great low bass. I would imagine that it would sound a lot better in a more properly set up room and corner placement -
Looking good! Damn nice setup you got there!!

Nice speakers and equipment. Looks like a small "kids" room thought. You got to get a "tv" that will complament that sound system man. That center is killing that little tv. LOL:eek:
