Figures. I just canceled my B&N club card a couple of months ago. Thanks for the tip. I already have many "Living Stereo" SACDs, but can always use more. As a side-note, through this series I learned that some early (50s) recordings were done in 3 channel. I wish that format had became the standard.

Which of the living stereo SACD's would you recommend? The only one I own (that I remember) is the Pictures At an Exhibition/Night On Bald Mountain SACD.

Taken from a recent Audioholics reply regarding "Club Polk" and Polk speakers:
"I'm yet to hear a Polk speaker that merits more than a sentence and 60 seconds discussion." :\
My response is: If you need 60 seconds to respond in one sentence, you probably should't be evaluating Polk speakers.....

Looks like Barnes and Noble has a 40 percent off sale running on most of their classical SACD's, not just the Living Stereo line:

I can't recommend any single one since it depends on what type of music you like. I just counted and I have 23, all classical. Personally, I prefer string quartets over symphonies, and there are 2 SACDs with Heifetz performing various concertos. He was a great violinist, and the back cover says they were recorded originally in 3-channel.

I just went to the B&N link above, and the first SACD displayed is one of these two by Heifetz.

I will recommend these SACDs by the Mandelring Quartet doing Shostakovich's string quartets. I love these recordings, and Shostakovich is definitely different from earlier composers.

There a 5 disks covering all his quartets, and at $11.99 each it is worth it.

Depends on what titles you are ordering. My order of 10 Living Stereo SACDs is on its way already. I did look for titles that were ready to ship in 1-2 days.
