Power Conditioner/Surge Protector suggestions needed

I am looking in advance of a purchase of a power conditioner/surge protector for my very small work setup. It consists of a small PC w a 150 watt PSU and a Audio GD NFB 5 headphone amp only. There is a small chance that I would eventually drive a set of powered studio monitors (like the AudioEngine A5's) and connect them to this as well. I am looking to spend right around 100 bucks or so (the less the better). Any suggestions for a cheap decent protector besides the Belkin PF30 in that price range?

I dont need a ton of outlets but I would like to get a decent protector for everything as well. Used is an option.

Not against that idea, but its a bit more than the PF30 is going for new (80 on buy.com) and not sure how much more it would offer.

I am also not against the idea of a APC type device but the H10 is a lot more than I want to spend, but I dont know if I should maybe look at their battery backups as well or if that would cause issues with the headphone amp.

Yeah, on second thought maybe scratch the Tripp Lite, looks like that particular unit has some quirks with its power sensing outlets.

    That Belkin looks solid though!

Yeah I am debating a P30 for my work setup, and eventually a smaller Panamax or another APC unit for upstairs in my apartment for my Uverse DVR, Router, Roku XD and TV. Thinking the Panamax or APC because I can use it to filter the Uverse data which comes in over the phone line before it goes out to the rest of my gear.

I have a APC H15 downstairs for my main system and am a big fan.

SurgeX gets mine. If you want some additional noise suppression, add in caps as described here (YMMV):

Which models can I find for around 100 bucks? Thats where the rub is right now. If it was for another system I could justify more than 100 but not this one currently.

I love my Tripp Lite with voltage regulation. This would be my choice for a small rig:

While I like its got voltage regulation at that price point, it sure is an ugly monster lol. Compared to the Belkin P30's. The TrippLite would HAVE to go under my desk at work for sure lol.

On second thought, it would work great for my bedroom setup as it can be hidden out of site behind the dresser..... I might just have to pick one of these up....

Dont disagree, but at 200 bucks its a bit steep to protect a system comprised for only 2 to possibly 3 items...

That was the main contender at 79 bucks from buy.com. Wanted to know if there were other options out there worth looking at. The TrippLite looks good given its also got voltage regulation and can be had for about 100 bucks on the nose, but its honestly a bit fugly, but could be hidden.

I have Tripp Lites 20 amp model that is designed for server rooms, but I enjoy the industrial look for the options and price.

I have the PF30 and haven't had any issue with it. It looks good and it handles enough for your small office set up.
