Shout out for Stumpy

Stumpy and I have been threatening to meet up for a month or so now. Saturday I saw an ad for a pair of Monitor 5Jrs and come to find out they belong to Stumpy.

We talked for a while on the phone and worked out a deal on the 5Jrs plus a pair of LS90s.

Yesterday Stumpy was nice enough to deliver them to me.

We shot the bull, drink beers and listened to some music.

Stumpy is a stand up guy and a pleasure to hang with. Being new to the area it is nice to meet up with a local Polkie.

We did not get a chance to listen to the 5s or 90s but both pairs are in great condition.

Luckly my wife is out of town so they are in stealth mode and will slowly make their way out and blend in so when she says I have not seen these before I can say, those old things, I have had them for a while.

If my room was big enough I would bring them right in the front door. No point buying something that my room is too small for.

Hey, I'm just here to help! And the pleasure was all mine. Many thanks for all the hospitality and allowing me to hear an incredibly nice tube set-up. It was as nice to look at as to listen!

Hopefully the wife won't take a look in the back closet for a while! Oh hell, she doesn't read your posts does she? Was great to meet another fellow Polkie in the area - will have to schedule a midwest PF sometime!

Paul (stubby) is a great guy, I have also had the pleasure of meeting him on a couple of occasions. Both times I came home with SDA's!

I'm all in for a midwest PF or get-together any time.
