Anthem avm40

$1700
After getting the D2 I should be selling this on I think
This is the same unit as the avm50 only it does not have a video processor, just hdmi pass through. The hdmi pass through for video is really horrible and on some cheap dvd's it puts these little red dots. I think the firmware is buggy because when I cycle through the ps3 the pic flicks like its loosing sync. On bluray it seems fine but I always avoid it with either a splitt'r or dual out put bluray player.
I bought the last (Anthem Room Correction) ARC dsp board upgrade for $800 plus tax. I can confirm that my avm40 sounds better with ARC than the D2 not running ARC. Figure the price of ARC and your getting this machine for $900 but my dealer returned the origonal dsp board so its possible to have it put back in and sell off the ARC as a complete kit as no one has them available or just sell the DSP board so some one else can do it to their machine

Good luck with the sale! Maybe someone local? Don't even want to know how much that thing weighs.

The preamp is very heavy for having no amp inside, it probably weights more than the average avr. The ARC has a huge metal disk for grounding vibration from the mic during calibration so it wont be cheap to ship
-
I will include my sony 790 3D bluray player for $100 if you desire
-
I was wondering when you were going to start selling off some gear... Keeping a pair of Tai ladyboys in skinny jeans must be costing you a fortune. The Gear... Carver "Statement" Mono-blocks, Mcintosh C2300 Arcam AVR20, Oppo UDP-203 4K Blu-ray player, Sony XBR70x850B 4k, Polk Audio Legend L800 with height modules, L400 Center Channel Polk audio AB800 "in-wall" surrounds. Marantz MM7025 stereo amp. Simaudio Moon 680d DSD

$1600 shipped for just the avm40

Great deal! Someone jump on this for the brain of a fantastic HT setup!
-
The offer is only for the Anthem at $1575 I am keeping the bluray player as I just sold my ps3 to a friend in need today
-
No takers for a quality music and HT pre?
-
$1575 grrrr I hate lowering the price when I paid $800 to add anthem room correction
If you want to take it to the next level and experiance the sound from seperates then snag this before I keep it -
A big kick in my ball$ $1475 but no free shipping
-
This thing will hammer any avr on the planet. I hooked this up with polk rti's tonight and watched a bluray. You can hear every word and little mumble at near silent volumes it really is that good. I may just keep it if I buy another projector
-
Ok here is my last price drop unless I suddenly start doing crack and sleeping in dumpsters
$1400 for the best upgrade you will ever make if all you have owned is receivers. Step your game up and get into separates with this pre and hear the diff that a dedicated power supply makes. Dead quiet nuances will breath life into your speakers like you can only imagine. Bass more powerful and refined more than ever, this will blow the grills off your speakers. Music sound great and the Anthem room correction system is the best out there but you will never know why till you set it up and experience it. Make a wise investment here and buy it as you could make money by selling the ARC pcb board included free. Dont think about it and just pull the trigger because you know you want the best sound for very little money -
Cute cat!

If I had the extra $$ right now I would buy this! I had an AVM30 and loved it and I bet this sounds even better. Great price at $1400
-
How much for the kitty??
-
You can have her, I figure the amount of canned foods she eats I would have the Anthem paid off in a few years
-
^As an FYI you two setup a great post, but since its not even close to PG I wont go there lol....

Still here and it would make a great Christmas gift for your wife
-
Bump time
-
Would any one like to make an offer?
-
ill pay shipping........thats it :cheesygrin:Where’s the KABOOM?!?! There’s supposed to be an Earth shattering KABOOM!!!

Nice preamp. If I did not have my D1, I would be all over this.Statistics show that 98% of us will die at some point in our lifetime.
The other 2% will work for WalMart. -

How can a unit like this be worse than the pass through on a 5 or 6 year old Denon with only HDMI 1.1 that never has a problem passing "anything" (mine below)? Don't you find that a bit ridiculous?
And Anthem is great sounding gear. But that's why I don't bother with "high" end processors. The Onkyo and Pioneers of the world just know how to do that and are always "upgrading" HDMI and software and all of this level of things and Anthem, though GREAT in the amp dept. just doesn't seem to be able to compete in the "cutting" edge "tech" area!
Nonetheless this is probably an awesome sounding piece!
Hope it sells for ya!

The one place they do have "cutting" edge "tech" is the ARC which is wonderful room correction and worth the cost for these used units. I use an Anthem D1 with ARC with an Oppo 103 and have been very happy. -
